EDWARD ROLLITT

Based between London and his studio in Hampshire - a converted agricultural barn, Edward Rollitt (b. 1998) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work spans sculpture, installation, film and photography. His practice looks at the psychology and atmosphere of space, exploring the function of antique objects in constructing identity and maintaining social structures. Immersive and theatrical, Rollitt’s work uses historically-inspired, fictional, characters as conduits to explore various aspects of his own psychology.

Edward Rollitt graduated from the RCA with an MA in Sculpture in July 2023. The same year he was one of ten finalists for the UK New Artist of the Year Award, and his work Lucei de Yavington (2023) was exhibited at Saatchi Gallery. In 2024 he was Longlisted for the Aesthetica Art Prize and exhibited as part of the prize at York Art Gallery. He has collaborated with Wymering Manor Trust and the international camera company ALPA. His commercial work has been published in World of Interiors, and Scenery magazines. Rollitt’s debut solo exhibition, To Dwell in Dust, took place at New Art Projects, London, in the Autumn of 2024. In late 2024, he acted as Art Director for the music video, This is Who I am, for signer/songwriter, Celeste. Rollitt’s work is currently on display in his first institutional exhibition; Kuntskammer, curated by Robert O’Byrne is on view at Lismore Castle Arts until October 2025.
